Description

The Cottage, formerly known as Tudor Cottage, is a cottage that includes the remains of a larger house. It dates from the 16th century, with a 17th-century wing added to the rear. The front range is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and tile-hung gables, while the rear range is made of whitewashed brick under plain-tiled roofs. The building is two storeys high and features three framed bays, along with a large ridge stack on the rear range. The windows have irregular leaded casement designs, with two diamond-pane casements on each floor and one window on each floor of the right-hand gable end. There is a door to the right, set within a gabled porch.
