Description

The terrace, pergola, and well at Tigbourne Court were designed by Gertrude Jekyll around 1900. The pergola features a combination of round and square brick pillars that support wooden lintels. It has a T-shaped plan with a section angled to the left. The circular well is approximately 1½ feet high and has a thin bonding course of tile-on-edge coping.
