Killinghurst Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame that is covered in brick and fishscale tile hanging. It features a plain tile roof with a large central ridge stack. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical facade, which includes diamond pattern leaded casements with two windows on the first floor. There is a central plank door leading to the lobby entrance. At the rear, there is a single storey outshot, along with a 20th-century extension to the right that is designed in a similar style.
