Description
Roppelaghs is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It has a timber frame that is encased in brick, with tile hanging above. The roof is covered in plain tiles and features large brick stacks. The main front, which faces north, has been restored and consists of one storey and an attic, with tile-hung dormers. The facade is symmetrical with three bays, featuring mullioned leaded casements. There is a central projecting brick porch with a tile-hung gable and a Tudor-style arch, which has a planked and studded outer door, along with a nine-panel door inside. The rest of the house has two storeys with an attic under tile-hung gable dormers. The east front includes two six-light and one seven-light mullioned casements on the ground floor, and one seven-light and one six-light window above. There is a 20th-century projecting brick porch to the right. Inside, there is a deep brick fireplace.
