Description
Wintershall is a house that dates back to the 16th century and was extended and remodeled in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with brick cladding below and tile hanging above, displaying alternating bands of plain and fishscale patterns. The gables are roughcast and whitewashed, topped with plain tiled roofs. The building has a half-H shaped plan, with a wing to the left that runs at right angles to the street.
The street-facing side has one window on each floor, with the tile hanging extending over the ground floor, and an additional window on the first floor to the left. At the rear, there are two windows on both the first and ground floors, along with a central leaded hipped bay window. Each of the two gabled ranges to the right has one leaded window on each floor. The entrance front features projecting end wings with one window on each floor, and there is a porch recess in the left-hand re-entrant angle, which includes a stable door leading to the porch extension on the ground floor of the right-hand wing.
