Description

This is an 18th-century barn situated 25 metres south of Emley Farm House. The barn is timber-framed and built upon sandstone rubble walls, with weatherboard cladding above. It is topped with a plain, tiled half-hipped roof, which sweeps down over an open aisle facing the farmyard. A central gabled double door is located on the first-floor level on the yard elevation and another on the ground-floor elevation to the rear where the ground slopes upwards. The barn forms part of a notable group of farm buildings.
