Description
This is an 18th-century barn located to the east of Woodhouse Farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick and features a red pantiled roof. The barn has a three-stead plan with a central cart entrance that opens to eaves height on the west side, and there is a projecting cart shed gable on the east. Lean-to outshuts are present on both the east and west sides, while the south gable has been rebuilt in the 20th century. The roof consists of three bays supported by wall posts that hold arched-braced tie-beams, with vertical struts connecting to the main collar and an upper collar above. Wind-braces are present at this level, along with butt purlins. The barn is included for its group value.
