Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century or early 17th century, consisting of two sections built around the same period, and was raised in height during the 19th century. The structure features flint walls with brick dressings and a red pantiled roof.
On the ground floor, there are two doors and a two-light casement window set in an original brick-dressed opening, along with two straight-headed wooden three-light casements and one arched-headed two-light casement. The first floor has four 19th-century two-light wooden arched-headed casements. There is a boarded door on the west side, a 20th-century door, and a porch at the center.
The west gable includes brick quoins, kneelers, and a 19th-century stepped parapet. There is a quoined joint aligned with a single off-centre stack that was formerly an end stack. The east gable, also from the 19th century, features a stepped parapet, which is similar to the parapet of the lean-to on the east side. The building has heightening brick courses and a dogtooth eaves cornice. A single-storey wing on the west connects Hall Farmhouse with Hall Farm Cottage and the barn. There is also a rear outshut to the north.
