Description
Woodhouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1741. It is constructed of red brick with grey brick dressings and features a red pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with segmental heads, which are set under red and grey brick arches. One similar window is blocked, while another has been pierced to accommodate a 19th-century part-glazed door beneath a gabled porch. Above each of the four openings, there are plat-band aprons.
On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements, also under brick arches. The façade displays alternate flush vertical banding of red and grey brick, along with flush red brick quoins. A dentil eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline. The steeply pitched roof is equipped with kneelers, end parapets, and stacks. The date of construction is inscribed on the east gable. Additionally, there is a one-and-a-half storey lean-to on the east side, which serves as an outshut to the rear.
