Description
The premises occupied by Vick and Squires, located at 1099 Crown Lane, is a former kiln range dating from the late 18th century onwards. The building features a half-hipped tile roof and is clad in brick.
On the south front, there are casement windows with 2, 3, or 4 lights, which have small panes; the lower windows are segmental headed. The eaves are decorated with brick dentils. The north front includes, from west to east, 2-light casement windows with small profiles, both above and below, a ledged door, and two window bays consisting of two 2-light windows above, and one single-light and one 3-light window below.
To the east, there is a weatherboarded single-storey outbuilding with an old tile roof. The east gable end has windows above and below to the right, and a ledged door to the left. The gable ends also feature dentil brick eaves.
