Description
This is a late 18th to 19th century warehouse or kiln range, now used as residential property. It comprises two parallel ranges. The main street facade is a long, two-storey brick building with a tile roof, hipped to the right-hand end, and brick dentil eaves. The front is of red brick with some vitreous bricks, and it has a projecting plinth. There are thirteen windows above and fourteen below. The building originally featured small, segmental-headed openings; some have been blocked, while others have been widened into larger windows. Newer windows have also been installed. The windows are casement types with small panes, mainly in two or three-light arrangements. Modern doors are present, some panelled and others with gabled or flat hoods. The rear range is partly constructed of clunch rubble. Nos 36 to 50 (even) together with the Old Kilns on the South Side of Beavers Road are considered a group.
