Description

Barling's Cottage is a building dating from the 16th to 17th century, featuring two storeys and constructed of red painted brick with a timber-framed upper section. It has an old tiled roof. The west front is L-shaped, with a gabled wing on the left side that includes a massive brick chimney, irregular casement windows, and a ledged door next to the stack. The east front features a gable above the porch leading to another doorway. On the south front, there is a modern door, which has a ledged lower part, positioned to the left of centre. The small wood casement windows date from the 18th to early 19th century, with some being modern replacements.
