Description
These cottages, located at 9, 11, and 15 Church Road, were designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1898. They are built from brown brick and feature tile-hung gables with plain tiled roofs. The buildings are two storeys high, with end gables that project out over the first floor. There are ridge stacks positioned to the left and right of the centre, with an additional stack at the left end. Each end of the first and ground floors has a three-light horizontal sliding sash window, while the centre of the first floor has a four-light window and a three-light window directly below it. The entrance to the left side of the building (number 9) is beneath a flat hood, while number 11 has a door to the left of centre within an arched porch recess that features an inscribed keystone, and number 15 has its door on the right side under a flat hood.
