Description

The Old Cottage is a house dating to the late 16th century. It is timber-framed, with exposed timber and whitewashed brick infill. The roof is of plain tiles. The house is two storeys high, with a ridge stack positioned to the left of centre and a large end stack to the right, set on an offset plinth. There are two diamond-paned casements on the first floor, and three windows on the ground floor. A partly glazed door is located to the left of centre, set within a pentice roof porch wing at a right angle to the right. A single-storey 20th-century extension is present at the right end, featuring a stable-style door.
