Description
Benacre is a house dating from the 16th century with 19th-century extensions. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with whitewashed brick infill above the exposed frame. The roof is half-hipped and covered with plain tiles. The building has two storeys and consists of five framed bays, with diagonal bracing and stacks located to the left of the center and at the rear right. On the first floor, there are four leaded casement windows, while the ground floor has three windows with shutters and drip boards above. The entrance door is now located at the left end, sheltered by an open gabled porch. At the rear, there is a pentice catslide outshot. Inside, there is a wealth of visible framing.
