Description
Pear Tree Cottage is a house from the 17th century that was extended to the right in the 19th century and restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill below and tile hanging above in alternating patterns on the cross wing. The roofs are plain tiled and half-hipped to the left and on the cross wing. The building has a T-shaped plan with a taller wing projecting to the right. It is two storeys high, with rebuilt stacks located to the right of centre near the junction of the two ranges. There are two small casement windows on the first floor to the left, and two first floor casements on the wing. On the ground floor, there are two windows to the left and one to the right, with the main door positioned to the right of centre. The left-hand return wall is rendered, with a weatherboard gable end above. Inside, the ceiling frames are visible, and there is a deep brick fireplace.
