Description
Saddlers is a house that has been extended and divided, originally built in the 17th century and later extended to the right in the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and whitewashed brick extensions on the right side, topped with plain tiled roofs. It has a T-shaped plan with a 19th-century cross wing that projects to the right end. The building stands two storeys high and features two stacks at the rear, positioned left and right of the centre, along with a rendered, corbelled stack on the ridge of the cross wing.
On the left side, there are two framed bays, and to the right of centre, there is one 18th-century framed bay. The house has three leaded windows on both the ground and first floors, a sash window on the left and another to the right of centre on the ground floor, and a tripartite sash window on each floor of the cross wing. The gabled end displays patterned bargeboards. Access is provided by a part-glazed panelled door located to the right of centre, with an additional door in the right-hand return front.
