Description
La Baita Restaurant is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. The building dates back to the 17th century at the rear and was re-faced in the late 17th or 18th century at the front. The rear wing is timber framed with a whitewashed brick underbuild and whitewashed roughcast infill above the exposed frame. The front is clad in whitewashed brick and features a plain tiled roof that is hipped at the front. The building has a T-shape plan, with the older wing positioned at right angles to the rear.
It stands two storeys tall with a plinth and a plat band above the ground floor. There is a moulded brick eaves cornice. The first floor has four 2-light leaded casement windows, while the ground floor has two 20th-century double glazed casements beneath plastic canopies. A half-glazed door is located at the center under a similar canopy. The rear wing has two casement windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, with a door to the left of center in a gablet porch.
