Description
The Wheatsheaf is a public house located on the west side of High Street in Bramley. It features a late 17th century front that is part of an earlier structure. The building is timber framed and clad in brown brick, sitting on a rendered plinth, with a hipped plain tiled roof that has end gablets. It stands two storeys tall and includes an end stack on the right, as well as rear stacks and stacks on the end of an extension to the left. There is a flat lead roofed, ribbed addition at the eaves.
On the first floor, there are three cambered head, 2-light casement windows and one 3-light casement window. The ground floor has three 3-light windows, one of which is located under a cambered head. The entrance features a six-panel door beneath a flat hood. The extension to the left has two windows on each floor. Inside, substantial amounts of framing are exposed, most of which has been restored.
