Description

Bramley Manor House is a house dating to the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with brick dressings and has plain tiled roofs. The house is two storeys and has attics, with three large gables prominent on the main front, each edged with terra-cotta. A plinth is visible, with a plat band above the ground floor. Offset end stacks and ridge stacks are present to the front and rear, left of centre. The attics contain three two-light casement windows, one in each gable, with sphere finials above the apexes. The first floor has seven "cross" casement windows: two in each outer gable and three in the centre gable. The ground floor features two three-light "cross" windows in the outer bays, and a pentice porch across the centre, with a gable over the door. There is also a pentice addition to the left end. 19th-century tile-hung extensions are visible to the rear and at right angles.
