Description
Cordreys Barn, also known as The Parish Barn, is a barn that has been converted into a store and workshop. It dates from the late 15th century, was re-roofed in the 18th century, and underwent restoration in 1972. The barn is timber framed with rendered infill and features a concrete tiled roof that is half hipped to the right. It has a rectangular shape with five framed bays and diagonal bracing on the first floor. The structure is two storeys high and has irregular fenestration, with small windows located one to the left and one to the right of the centre. There are board doors positioned to the left of centre on both the ground and first floors.
Inside, the former crown post roof has been replaced with queen strut construction. There are brick extensions that project to the front right, but these are not included in the listing. The barn is primarily noted for its historical significance as the Parish Barn.
