Description
Rose Cottages is a house, now divided, that dates back to the early 16th century. It features a timber frame with red and blue brick cladding at the bottom, tile hanging on the first floor to the left, and painted weatherboard on the first floor in the center and to the right. The roof is hipped, made of Horsham slabs, with a gablet at the right end. There is a rear ridge stack located to the right of the center, an end stack to the right, and a rear stack to the left. The building has two storeys and an irregular arrangement of windows, with four on the first floor, the outer ones being three-light, and four on the ground floor, including one four-light window to the left and a leaded window to the right. There are three half-glazed doors of a similar design located to the left, right of center, and to the right. Additionally, there is a flat-roofed extension at the right end, a hipped roof wing at the rear center, and a catslide roof at the rear right.
