Description
This is a barn located 2 yards to the north of Rookery Farm House. It dates from the 15th century on the left side, the 17th century in the center, and was extended to the right in the 18th century. The barn is timber framed and stands on a rubblestone plinth, with weatherboard cladding and plain tiled roofs of varying heights. It has a rectangular shape with one and a half bays on the left, three bays in the center, and one bay on the right. There is a catslide extension across the front left that features a casement window. To the right of the center, there is a gabled entrance that jetties out on the upper part, with a three-light mullioned opening to the right and a further planked door at the right end.
Inside, the barn has massive jowled posts on the left and three Queenpost trusses in the center.
