Description
The Old Farmhouse is a former hall house dating from the 16th century, with restorations from the 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick and stone plinth, with red and brown brick infill below tile hanging above, some of which is arranged in fishscale bands. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, complete with end gablets, and has a front ridge stack positioned to the right of center and another at the left end. The building has two storeys with four framed bays, displaying casement windows; there are four windows on the first floor and five on the ground floor. A ribbed door is located to the right of center. There is also a single-storey 20th-century extension at the rear right. Inside, much of the framing is visible, and there is a plain crown post roof.
