Description
Hook House Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with a timber frame set on a rendered plinth. It features a red and blue brick chimney below tile hanging above. The roof is plain tiled, hipped, with an end stack to the left and a rear ridge stack to the right of center. Originally a central chimney house, the chimney was removed in the 19th century. The building has two storeys, with a brick dentil band over the ground floor and three 19th-century casement windows across the first floor. There is a half-glazed door to the left of center and a pent roofed extension at the right end. Additionally, there is a 20th-century parallel extension to the rear and a wing at right angles to the rear. Inside, some framing is visible, mainly on the ceilings of the first floor.
