Description

This chest tomb, located 15 yards southwest of the porch of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, dates from the late 18th century and is dedicated to Thomas H. It is constructed of stone on a stone plinth and features moulded panelled sides. The tomb has oval inscription panels adorned with fan decoration in the spandrels. It is supported by double fluted tapering piers at the corners and has a flat lid with a moulded edge. The inscription is partly illegible as noted during the last survey.
