Description
This is a 17th-century barn, now used as a store, located 5 yards south of Yew Tree Farm House on Tilburstow Hill Road in Godstone. The barn is timber framed and sits on a brick and stone plinth, with weatherboarding and a corrugated iron roof that is half hipped at both ends. The main front of the barn is positioned at right angles to the road and features 11 framed bays. There are double doors located at the left end, left of center, right of center, and at the right end. The rear has partial cement block cladding. Inside, the barn has Queen-strut trusses, although many of the purlins and posts were decayed at the time of the last survey.
