The Terrace

The Terrace is a house built in 1808 by John Saunders, with 20th-century alterations to the front. It features brown brick with gault brick dressings and a hipped slate roof. The building has three storeys set on a plinth, with a plat band above the ground floor and boxed eaves, along with stacks at the front of the center. It consists of four bays, with a square extension at the ground floor that projects under a flat roof. The windows are glazing bar sash types throughout, with the ones on the second floor being shallower, all set under gault brick heads. There is a one bay extension at each end, with the left side boarded. The house was formerly divided and is part of a terrace built for Officers of the Royal Military Academy.
