Description

The Terrace is a house built in 1808 by John Saunders, with 20th-century alterations to the front. It is constructed of brown brick with gault brick dressings and features a hipped slate roof. The building has three storeys on a plinth, with a plat band above the ground floor and boxed eaves, along with stacks at the front of the center. It consists of four bays, with a square extension that almost spans the full width of the ground floor, projecting under a flat roof. The house has glazing bar sash windows throughout, which are shallower on the second floor and set under gault brick heads. There is a one-bay extension at each end and a boarded door on the left side. The house was formerly divided and is part of a terrace that was provided for Officers of the Royal Military Academy.
