Description

Fellow Green Cottage and The White House is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a rendered plinth that is underbuilt in whitewashed brick, with the upper part exposed and filled with whitewashed brick. The roof is plain tiled and hipped to the left, stepping down over the extension at the left end.

The building has two storeys on the right side and one storey with an attic on the left end, which includes a 19th-century gabled dormer with a sash window. There are several stacks: an offset end stack to the right, a ridge stack to the right of centre, and an end ridge stack to the left, all rendered.

The house has three framed bays with irregular window arrangements. On the first floor, there are three 3-light casements, with the centre and right windows featuring 20th-century diamond panes beneath the gabled eaves dormers. The ground floor has three windows, including a 20th-century part-glazed door located to the right of centre, which is sheltered by a pentice roof porch supported by braced wooden supports. To the left of centre on the ground floor, there is a cambered head window, and to the left end, there is a planked 19th-century door under a pentice hood on braced supports.
