Description
The Terrace is a house built in 1808 by John Saunders, located on London Road in Camberley. It is constructed of brown brick with gault brick dressings and features a pyramidally hipped slate roof. The building has three storeys over a basement, set on a plinth with a brick band above the ground floor, boxed eaves, and a central brick chimney stack.
The front of the house has four bays with glazing bar sash windows, most of which are original, and have cemented sills. The second-floor windows are shallower, while those on the ground floor are set in arched recesses. The single-storey end bays feature a six-panel door to the left, which is located under a transom light in an arched recess, accessed by a flight of seven steps with an iron railing. The return front has three bays with blind windows. Originally, the house was divided into two and is part of a terrace of officers' houses built for the Royal Military Academy.
