Description
The entrance lodge and front railings at Alm'ner's (Priory) were built in the early 19th century and consist of twin lodges located on either side of the front garden, connected by ornamental cast iron railings and square red brick entrance piers. Each lodge is a single storey and features quasi-Gothic windows with three pointed lights beneath segmental arched heads. The roofs are hipped and covered with slate. The entrances of the lodges face inward and are adorned with pedimented porches supported by slender Doric columns. There are blank windows on the east side. All the listed buildings on Almners Road are part of a group.
