Description

The Golden Grove Inn is a building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of brick, with the ground floor partly limewashed and later tile hanging on the left side. The roof is tiled, and there is a large projecting chimney at one end. The building features flush-frame windows with glazing bars and a moulded wood eaves cornice supported by small ogee brackets. The entrance has a modern door with a shaped bracket hood and flat pilasters. Inside, there are cross beams of moderate size; although some modernisation has occurred, original features of modest style remain. The inn is pleasantly set back from the road.
