Description

Thomas Willat's Almshouses, located at 10 and 12 Alwyn's Lane in Chertsey, are a pair of cottages built in 1837. They are single-storey structures made of yellow brick and feature two windows each. The cottages have a slate, hipped roof and pointed windows with leaded wood casements that include glazing bars and pointed panes at the tops. There are coupled entrances that are adorned with an iron trellis porch. The pointed entrance doors have six flush beaded panels, also pointed at the top. Additionally, there is a stone tablet on the first floor of the south cottage that bears an inscription including the date of construction.
