Description

This wellhouse dates to circa 1871. It is timber framed, built upon a rubble plinth, and has a steeply pitched tiled roof. The building is square and open-sided, featuring diagonally set studs between its posts, with two bays on each side. A central arched entrance is on the east side, and it contains a door constructed of diagonally set rails, fitted with a 20th-century lock. The wellhouse retains a quarry tile floor.
