The milestone opposite No 31 Merrywood Park is an early 19th-century square structure made of limestone, featuring a low pyramidal top and a plinth. The east face of the milestone displays the distances to Brighton (31 5/8 miles) and Reigate (5/8 mile), while the south face indicates the distances to London (20 miles) and Sutton (9 miles).
