Description
Wray Park Hall is a mid-19th century, two-storey, five-bay house constructed of sandstone ashlar. The building features arches made of chalk blocks, with keys inserted within shouldered outer arches of the segment-headed first-floor windows, and a round cut chalk arch over the central window. There is a cill band at the first floor. The roof is fairly low pitched and hipped, covered with slate, and has deep bracketed eaves. It includes four end stacks and one central stack. The sash windows have glazing bars, and the ground floor displays keystones and voussoirs. The central projection of the house contains a panelled door with sidelights set within a wooden entablature framework, and above it is a tripartite half-landing window flanked by flat pilasters and an entablature. To the right, there is a low, long extension made of coursed chalk blocks, also with a low pitched slated roof. Wray Park Hall is part of a group that includes Nos 51, 55, 59, and the entrance gateway to the south of No 59.
