Description

Lydford is a house dating from the 17th century, which was later restored in the 20th century. The house has a timber frame set on a rendered plinth, with brick infill beneath, some of the brick laid diagonally, and tile hanging above in a diamond pattern. It has a plain tiled roof, half-hipped to the left, with an end stack to the left and a rear ridge stack to the right. The house has two storeys, featuring four 20th-century leaded casement windows on the first floor. A pent-roofed square bay window is situated on the ground floor to the right. A 20th-century door is located in the right side of a pantiled pent-roofed porch, centrally positioned on the left. A single-storey extension is present on the ground floor to the right. A single-storey, hipped roof wing is located on the rear to the left. Visible inside the house is square partition framing.
