Description
Old Beam Brook is a house dating from the mid to late 16th century, which was extended and altered in the 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a rendered plinth, with whitewashed brick and render infill below a first floor that is tile hung, some of which is arranged in a fish-scale pattern. The roof is plain tiled. The building has a smoke-bay plan and stands two storeys high, with stacks positioned to the left of centre. On the first floor, there are two 4-light and one 2-light diamond-pane, leaded casement windows, while three windows are located below. The entrance is centrally located and is accessed through a gabled brick and timber porch. Additionally, there is a barn incorporated at the rear, which includes a single storey extension that is set at right angles to the main structure.
