Description
This is a barn located to the right of Halesbridge Farm House. It consists of two main sections built in the 17th century and 19th century, with a 20th-century parallel range facing the street at the rear. The barn is timber framed, resting on a whitewashed brick plinth, and features weatherboard cladding with a plain tiled roof. The rear has cement rendered cement block and brick extensions topped with a corrugated roof. The barn has five framed bays, with three bays on the right separated by a partition from the two bays on the left. Originally, there were opposing double doors in the center of the right-hand barn, but these have been blocked and replaced with stable doors to the left of center. There are fixed and shuttered windows to the right. Inside, the barn has a queen-strut, staggered butt-purlin roof with tension bracing on the first-floor wall frame. The barn is included in the listing for its group value only.
