Description
This granary, now used as a workshop, is located approximately 10 metres south of Barnett Wood Farmhouse. It likely dates from the early 19th century and has been altered. The structure features a weather-boarded timber frame supported by stone staddles and brick piers, topped with a red tile roof. It has a square plan and is a single storey raised on staddle-stones, with additional brick piers added recently. The doorway is located in the centre of the north side and has a 2-pane overlight above it. There is a rectangular louvred ventilator window at the top of the right-hand side wall, while a similar window that used to be on the left side has now been glazed. The roof is pyramidal in shape. The interior is constructed from soft wood. This building is included for its group value with Barnett Wood Farmhouse.
