Description
This is a barn located 30 metres east of Gosterwood Manor Farm House, dating from the 17th century with 18th century additions at the ends and a restoration in the 20th century. The barn is timber framed and sits on a plinth made of rubble stone and brick, with one side being taller due to the ground dropping away. It features weatherboard cladding and a plain-tiled roof. Originally consisting of three framed bays, it has been extended to five bays, with central opposing entries and two fixed casements on the side. The central bay is flanked by Queen-strut trusses, while the outer bays have Queen-post trusses. There is diagonal bracing on the wall frames of the end bays and a pentice on the front right. This barn is part of a farm group.
