Description

This barn, located 30 metres southeast of Gosterwood Manor Farm House, dates from the 18th century and was re-roofed and restored in the 20th century. It is timber framed on a brick plinth and features weatherboard cladding with a plain tiled roof. The barn has five framed bays and an aisle across the rear, which is covered by a catslide roof. There are opposing central entries, with the rear entry located under a gabled midstrey. Inside, the roof structure includes queen-strut and staggered butt-purlin construction, along with diagonal bracing in the wall frames. This barn is included in the listing for its group value as part of the farm complex.
