Description
The former cow house, located approximately 30 metres east of Thorncroft Farm Cottage, is now used as a garage and store. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and has been altered. The structure features a tarred weatherboarded timber frame set on a brick plinth, topped with a red tile roof. It has a rectangular plan oriented on a north-south axis.
The west front includes a centrally placed doorway and a loading door above it that breaks through the eaves, topped with a hipped dormer roof. A simple board band runs out from the lintel between these doors, and beneath the right-hand end, there is a very shallow horizontal window. The roof is hipped. The left end of the building has been modified to include garage doors. The rear features a stable door in the centre, two widely spaced casement windows, and another door leading to a former outbuilding at the south end. The interior has not been inspected.
