Description
This building is a barn and stable located 30 metres northwest of Volvens Farm House in Abinger. It dates from the 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is timber framed with thin scantling, standing on a brick plinth, and features coloured render infill. The roof is half-hipped and covered with plain tiles from the 20th century. The barn has an L-shaped plan and consists of four bays with opposing entries, which are now blocked. There is a single-storey stable range to the left and a lower extension at the right end.
