Description

The barn at Manor Farm is an early 18th-century structure that incorporates some earlier timbers. It is timber-framed and sits on a brick plinth, with its exterior clad in weatherboarding. The barn features a half-hipped roof, which was partially covered in metal sheeting during the survey. It has a central entrance on the east side and consists of three bays. Inside, the roof is supported by queen posts and tie beams, with diagonal braces in the wall frame. Attached to the side of the barn is an 18th-century range that is also timber-framed and clad in weatherboarding, resting on a red brick plinth. At the time of the survey, the roof of this range was not tiled and it includes four pivoting casements.
