Description

The ice house, located 200 yards southeast of Hatchlands, dates from the early 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a rendered cement dome, which is built into the hillside with the dome exposed above ground level. The entrance front has three bays, with a central round arch supported by Doric pilaster piers and recessed panels on the side bays. Inside, there is a chamber that is 20 feet deep, lined with brick and render. This structure is included in the listing for its group value only.
