Description
Pound Farm House is a house built around 1720, featuring a porch added around 1870 at the front. The house is constructed of red brick and has a hipped, plain-tiled roof, while the porch is made of yellow brick. It stands two storeys tall with end stacks at both the front and rear, and an offset end stack to the right that has a corbelled top. The front facade has a brick plinth and dentilled eaves, arranged in a regular three-bay layout. The outer bays on the first floor have 12-pane glazing bar sash windows, while the centre bay is blocked. The ground floor windows are set in moulded surrounds and are topped with cambered heads. At the centre of the ground floor, there is a cross-shaped, gabled Gothic style porch featuring pierced wavy-edged bargeboards and spiked finials, with a half-glazed door located to the right. The house also has wings and additional extensions at right angles to the rear.
