Description
This building is a hall house, now used as a store, located 40 yards northeast of Send Grove. It dates from the early 16th century and features a timber frame with a brick underbuild on a brick plinth. The first floor has brick infilling, and there is some roughcast cladding on the left end. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring end gablets. The structure consists of one bay and is two storeys high, with three framed bays and arched bracing on the first floor. There is a stack on the left end, a central arched door on the first floor, and three additional doors on the ground floor. Inside, the single bay hall is intact and open to the roof, showcasing an exposed crownpost. The house has remained virtually unaltered since it was vacated around 1600.
