Description
Moors Cottage, formerly known as The Old Coffee House, is a house dating from the 17th century, with 19th and 20th-century extensions at either end. The building features a timber frame that is built on a stone plinth, with whitewashed brick used for the lower part and exposed timber framing above, filled with whitewashed brick. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high on the plinth, with a stack at the left end and another at the ridge on the right. The front is regular, with two leaded casement windows on each floor and a central boarded door. To the right, there is a late 19th or early 20th-century extension that projects outwards, which is a single storey on a plinth and has a gable end with bargeboarding and timber framing. There is also a pentice-roofed extension on the left end that connects to the gable front extension from the 19th century.
